We sometimes put our goals on hold because we’re waiting for a sign to see if that is what we’re supposed to do. It’s also about the hope that a clearer path will be shown and possibly, someone or something will arrive to help us with our mission. We allow outside forces to postpone our efforts because we feel drained from getting through the have-tos of the day, and we’re wanting to feel better before we get to the doing for ourselves. So another day comes and goes and we still are waiting. To break this chain, you have to be willing to try even when you don’t feel like it. It’s the first step. Do things in small ways and it will build upon itself, ultimately providing extra support for you to do even more. Maybe part of your growth is about doing the work regardless of your personal condition. Maybe doing the work is about something bigger than you and when you perform, the momentum carries you to a new place, out of where you are now. So in giving of yourself, you were also given a hand.
