Who do You Want to be

Who do You Want to be

I often find myself thinking about who I want to be and where I am in my life. This mental exercise isn’t for anyone of a particular age, I did it when I was in my twenties and I still do it today. I think it’s a natural part of life no matter what stage you’re in, to assess what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go.

This can lead to being too self critical and judging yourself for not being where you think you should be, or even measuring yourself against others. If you ever find yourself in this mental space, try to remember that you’re unique and there is no one else on this earth who is exactly the same as you. Your life experiences have molded you into who you are and your path is yours and yours alone.

If you love where you are celebrate it every day and give thanks as often as you can. If you’re dissatisfied with where you are give thanks for all the lessons you’ve learned and know that guidance is always there for you, and your path can shift at any time based on your actions and mental attitude.

If you get in your head too much, try repeating this simple mantra.
Everything I need is within me
God’s love is always with me
God’s light shines through me
God is all around me

Have a beautiful day
