Sometimes we need the reason “why” when we’re being called. It’s not that we don’t want to do what we’re being asked to do… it’s just that we want to understand if what we do will actually matter. So we’re asking a question founded in the past about an event or result in the future… and so we go about our business hoping we’ll be shown and once we can see it, then we’ll really get started. In the meantime, we continue to make small strides forward, proving we’re still interested, proving we are ready and that we’ve “earned” being able to be shown how what we do matters… and that becomes a cycle. And so we improve our practice we recommit a bit, and we achieve more small strides, until we’re provided more proof… from this place, when we’re shown something, they are just glimpses and feelings we can’t quite discern, so we need a body of them to be able to sense our direction. What if you try another way and break this cycle of pain forever? Stop, stopping your practice. Stop looking for proof and reward. Your being-ness is the gold you’re after. Go ahead and set your intentions now. Much love.
